Charlie Starr

Blackberry Smoke

“Rob’s guitars are especially unique. He seems to start with the basic elements that we all love about vintage guitars, then adds twists and turns that always add to the look and tone of the instrument and, most importantly, always sound great.”

Style 2 Tone Pot™

This guitar features a mahogany body with such a thick metal top that is recessed approximately 1/8” yet still sits 1/8” proud of the body surface.

The pickups are Seymour Duncan 59’s which are mounted in a tub that I call the “Tone Pot™”. Both pickups are splittable via the push/pull volume pots rounded out by a master tone. The neck is hard rock maple with a rosewood fretboard bound in black with mother of pearl inlays.

The headstock also received a recessed metal plate.
