The Muddy Bass

Muddy and I met at a Gilby Clarke open jam night at the Cat Club in L.A. many years ago where he was playing with Gilby. I don’t know how the hell we stayed friends but we somehow kept in touch over the years.

This bass is a chambered mahogany body with flame maple cap, a set maple neck with rosewood finger board bound in white and a rosewood head plate also bound in white.

The pickup is a vintage speed bump with one volume and one tone, the bridge is handmade aluminum with rosewood saddles, a rosewood tailpiece, string through body and hand made checkerboard binding.
